Ingredients

  • 10 medium marshmallows
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1-2 drops green food coloring from Wilton
  • 2-3 drops black food coloring from Wilton
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips for decorating eyes
  • 2 & ½ tablespoon heavy cream
  • 2 small Ziploc bags
  • 10 small cake pop sticks 5"-6" long

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients and start poking the marshmallow with cake pop sticks. Push the stick into the marshmallow until it is more than halfway inserted in the marshmallow.
10 medium marshmallows, 1 cup white chocolate chips, 1 cup milk chocolate chips, 1-2 drops green food coloring from Wilton, 2-3 drops black food coloring from Wilton, ½ cup white chocolate chips, 2 & ½ tablespoon heavy cream, 2 small Ziploc bags, 10 small cake pop sticks
  • Place 1 cup of white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and add 1 tablespoon of heavy cream. Microwave the bowl with chocolate in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. In between each interval, stir with coffee spoon. Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, add 1 drop of green food coloring and stir until the color is well incorporated. If the color is too pale, add 1 more drop of green food coloring and stir again until the color is well incorporated.

  • Take the marshmallows one by one and coat them with the melted green chocolate by dipping them into the chocolate. Cover well the bottom (edges) of the marshmallow. Tap the stick against the side of the bowl to remove the excess chocolate coating. Make sure the marshmallows are well covered.

  • Place the chocolate marshmallows up right in a styrofoam block, or use a special cake pop tray with holes to hold the Marshmallow pops. Let the marshmallow pops dry for 2 hours.
  • Melt the milk chocolate with 1 tablespoon of heavy cream in the microwave, for 30 seconds. Stir in 2-3 drops of black food coloring. If the chocolate is not properly melted, microwave for another 15 seconds.

  • Pour the melted chocolate in a ziplock bag and seal it. Cut a very tiny hole with scissors and pipe the chocolate with circular motion on top of the marshmallow pop. Cover the top and then pipe strings of hair on the sides.

  • Melt another 1/2 cup of white chocolate with 1/2 Tbsp of heavy cream in the microwave, 30 seconds. Once the chocolate is melted, pour it into another ziplock bag. Cut a tiny hole with scissors in the corner and pipe Frankenstein eyes on each pop. With the rest of the milk chocolate you used previously, pipe finishing touches, such as eyeballs and mouth.
    ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • The coating should set within an hour or two. Your marshmallow Frankenstein pops are ready to be enjoyed! Store in refrigerator and use within 2 weeks.
