BAKED FIGS FILLED WITH GOAT CHEESE

Equipment

  • small baking dish

Ingredients

  • 10 figs
  • 200 g 1/2 cup goat cheese
  • 10-15 walnuts roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 stash mini basil
  • pinch salt to season
  • pinch pepper to season

Instructions

  • Wash and dry the figs, before manipulating with them.
  • Remove the stem on the figs and cut an X in figs, but go only until three quarters.
  • Fill each fig with 1 teaspoon of creamy goat cheese. Do so gently, because overripe figs tend to tear apart.
  • Drizzle with honey, season with salt and pepper.
  • At the end add few mini leaves from basil and add some chopped walnuts.
  • Bake in baking dish in preheated oven on 350F/177 C for 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve warm with baguette and good white wine.
