Hey folks, another week passed by….the time flyes like crazy! I don’t know how about you, but I am always running around and especially this week, I had no time to sit down behind the computer to write down something. Last week, I spent nice quality time with my family in Ottawa, where is this beautiful winter festivities called WINTERLUDE.
If you’d have a chance to pass by Ottawa in next 2 weeks, it’s worth to see! They have beaufitul snow and ice sculptures, giant tubbing slides and skating on the largest natural skate rink Canal Rideau. You will definatelly have fun.
So having a winter; a cold one and long one and plus, being in Ottawa for these winter festivities, I am thinking to myslef: I miss summer!!!! Oh so badly, I am so jealous of these beautiful people living in Australia or in Bali, where whatever season is, they still have some a acceptable temperatures 🙂 Yes my dear reader, from the other side of the Earth, I am jealous of your beautiful weather!!Don’t blame me please, I do have my reasons. And the reasons are cold, freezy and brrrr!!!
So, I close my eyes for a minute and I can see the sun! You are more then welcome to dream with me….so where were we…yes sunny, warm afternoon, sitting on bench infront of your yard, sun is shining and warming up your face…Yes it is not only warm, it is hot, hot summer day! And you are thinking, I love this, I love the rays of sun, I love that warm touch on my face, but it starts to be a bit too warm a bit hot! I am getting thirsty, I need to cool down this dry feeling in my throath; hm some fresh fruit sorbet would do the thing, it would cool down my throath. And here it comes, my easy & delicious sorbet 🙂
It’s the easiest sorbet recipe I have ever tryed, no cooking, heating or microwaving. The only thing you need is condensed milk and frozen fruit. I prepared rasberry and blueberry sorbet, so will be using frozen rasberries and frozen blueberries. I always have some frozen fruit packs in my freezer, so whenever I feel like having sorbet now, I just grab a bag of frozen fruit (any kind, even mixed fruit) and I toss it in blender, bit of condensed milk, bit of blending and it’s done! Yummy rasberry sorbet recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups /390g frozen raspberries or blueberries or any kind of frozen fruit
- ¼ cup / 70 g condensed milk
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Combine the berries and the condensed milk in a food processor and process until smooth and creamy. It took me about 2 minutes to blend well the berries.
- Transfer to a freezable container and let it firm up for about 4 hours to be able to scoop.
- Scoop them in these adorable coconut bowls and enjoy them!
- You can keep in the freezer for up to 6 weeks.
Isn’t this so easy and delicious looking sorbet. I used a fresh coconut shell to serve the sorbet on the occasion of taking these pictures, but I am thinking to buy these amazing coconut bowls, you can also make smoothies in it, serve ice cream, they look adorable. I will let you know guys, how they are once I receive them. So excited!!
Thanks for sticking around my foodie recipes 🙂 Have a good one!!!
