1. STRAWBERRY MIMOSA TO CELEBRATE NEW YEAR’S EVE
I am loving using fresh fruits in cocktails. Fresh strawberries are my favorite, this is why I love making this strawberry mimosa. It’s super simple, and it takes just 2 ingredients. Fresh strawberries (or strawberry liqueur) and sparkling wine or prosecco.
For this simple fruit mimosa you can use different fruit like blueberries, pineapple, lemon, lime or orange is such a perfect combo in mimosas. This is recipe is makes 2 glasses.
Ingredients:
- 2 shots (3 oz) of strawberry liquor
- 2 cups (16 oz) of Prosecco or sparkling wine
- 2 fresh strawberries, sliced or cut in half
- 2 strawberries, for garnishing the glass
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, for garnishing the glass
Instructions:
- Rim the champagne glasses with sugar (wet the edges either with a wedge of lemon or with water and dip them in granulated sugar).
- Pour the strawberry liqueur in each glass and top with sparkling wine.
- Add sliced strawberries inside the champagne glasses and garnish the rim of glasses with 2 strawberries cut halfway. Enjoy!
2. LA PALOMA COCKTAIL
La Paloma cocktail is a refreshing drink full of citrus flavors. I didn’t know this drink until I have visited Mexico myself. While we were on a vacation in Playa del Carmen in Riviera Maya, my husband and I couldn’t get enough of this refreshing cocktail. The addition of grapefruit and honey in the drink, gives the perfect level of sour and sweet taste.
3. CHOCOLATE COFFEE DRINK
I am always preparing this creamy drink for Christmas Eve, but because it’s so lovable, creamy and with the shot of espresso, this drink is excellent to keep your guests awake during the New Year’s Eve. Everyone will love this coffee drink!
4. CANTALOUPE AQUA FRESCO WITH WHITE RUM
Another refreshing drink, not only for summer parties. This Aqua fresco with white rum is an excellent party starter. During the summer, I use watermelon, but for the celebration of New Year’s Even I have decided to use cantaloupe. It adds more creaminess to this refreshing Mexican drink.
Agua Fresco means fresh water in Spanish, which refers to fresh fruit water. It is very popular in Mexico and all Latin countries. The variation of Aqua Fresco can be pumped up with a shot of alcohol, such a white rum in this recipe. Cheers to New Year’s Eve! This Recipe makes 2 servings.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (8 oz) chilled cantaloupe, cut into large cubes
- 2 shots (3 oz) of white rum
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 3 teaspoons of fresh lime juice
- 1 cup of ice cubes (optional)
- 1 slice of lime and cut out star piece of cantaloupe, for garnish
Instructions:
- Add the cantaloupe to a blender and purƩe until smooth.
- Add rum and honey and purƩe until incorporated and smooth.
- Strain the pulp, if necessary.
- Take two cocktail glasses and rim them with sugar. Place ice cubes in the glasses and pour over the aqua fresco.
- Garnish with a slice of lime, cut halfway, and cantaloupe in the shape of a star.
5. CHAMPAGNE WITH DANCING CRANBERRIES
Classic, fabulous and most loved flute of champagne with dancing cranberries. Frozen cranberries covered in sugar, will keep your drink cold and if you don’t like the sugar on cranberries, just simply freeze them without the sugar. This classic will never get out of style!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (16 oz) of Champagne (Prosecco or sparkling wine)
- 8- 10 frozen cranberries covered in sugar, for garnish
- 2 small stems of fresh rosemary (optional),for garnish
Instructions:
- Wash the cranberries and cover them in sugar, freeze them for 2 hours.
- Pour chilled champagne or prosecco in flute glasses.
- Add frozen cranberries to the champagne and garnish with rosemary. Enjoy!
6. CRANBERRY MIMOSA FOR 2
Like any other mimosa, this cranberry mimosa is refreshing and full of sweet and tangy flavors from the cranberry juice. It’s perfect for New Year’s Eve brunch or any afternoon cocktail!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup fresh cranberry juice
- 2 cups (16 oz) of Prosecco or sparkling wine
- 8-10 fresh cranberries, for garnish
- 2 tablespoons sugar, for garnish
- 2 stems of rosemary, for garnish
Instructions:
- Wash fresh cranberries and cover them in sugar, freeze them for 2 hours.
- Rim the champagne glasses with sugar and pour the cranberry juice in the flute glasses, top with sparkling wine.
- Add the frozen cranberries covered in sugar in the champagne glass and garnish with rosemary.
7. AMONTILLADO SHERRY MANHATTAN
This Amontillado Sherry Manhattan substitutes a sherry wine in place of a Manhattansā usual vermouth.
